10 coastal interiors we love and how to recreate them on a budget
Coastal interior design is without a doubt one of my favourite interior design styles. It promotes peace, calm and serenity, and is associated with bright and airy spaces. The first good thing is you don’t need to live on the coast or have a beach front house to incorporate this design style to your interior (although it would be nice to wake up to a fresh sea breeze and sound of waves crashing, wouldn’t it?).
The second good thing is you don’t have to break the bank either. If you want to transform your interior into a beach haven, you can do so even on a budget. Start small, change your cushion covers, throw blankets, add some jute baskets, invest in a new rug or a new lamp. Coastal interiors are all about bright spaces with layered textures and natural materials and fabrics like wood, jute, rattan, wicker, linen, or organic cotton.
Adding a pop of navy blue or pale turquoise to your home décor can already help transform your space.
