Like you would rather spend your weekends relaxing at home with family or friends than spend hours in stores trying to look for the perfect-looking couch? Well, look no further. Suite Minded is here to help you. I believe interior decorating should be a stress-free and positive process, and that is why I created online interior decorating services.

I provide a range of online decorating services to suit all your interior design needs (shopping lists with furniture selection, colour palette, floorplan with furniture layout, 3d renders).

A quick introduction to e-design

E-design is an alternative to traditional interior design provided entirely online. It is a great option for busy households looking for an affordable way to redecorate their interior with the help of a professional. So, if life always gets in the way of your home decorating project, you don’t want to spend thousands of dollars to get your interior transformed, but you still want to keep control over certain aspects, then e-design might be right for you.

Step 1: Start your interior decorating project 

  • Know what you need 

The first step to start your interior decorating journey on the right foot is to establish your needs and your requirements. Do you need more storage space? Do you need more sitting options? Or do you want to give your interior a complete makeover?  

By knowing in advance what you want and need, it is easier to select the most suitable service for you.  

If you are not sure, you can contact me via email and I will guide you towards what’s best for you and I will try to answer your questions. Again, my goal is to make this experience stress-free and enjoyable for you. 

  •  Choose your package option

At Suite Minded, a range of custom services and full makeover packages are offered to suit all your design needs. All our services have a flat-rate price per room.  

 

If you are looking to completely transform your room, I recommend you to choose one of our full virtual interior decorating services. 

3D renders will give you the best realistic visualisation of what your interior could look like, including my selections and recommendations. 

We also offer some of these features as custom services if all you need is a bit of help on specific parts of your home decoration process.  

Full Makeover Packages services

Services included with our full virtual decorating packages.

 

Our custom services are: 

  • Colour selection, if all your interior needs is a paint refresh. 

  • Floorplan with furniture layout, if your current layout doesn’t feel right or if you need help incorporating new furniture you purchased into your space. 

  • Personalised shopping list, if you don’t want to spend hours in the stores shopping for a new dining table. I will browse new furniture and home décor items for you, and provide you with a shopping list with clickable links within your desired budget. You can pair this service with our ‘Floorplan with furniture layout’ service to help you pull your new interior together. 

Again, if you are unsure which service is the most suitable for you, do not hesitate to contact me beforehand as I will be able to help and guide you as best I can. My goal is to make this experience positive and not overwhelming. 

  • Design questionnaire  

Once you select the service that best suit your interior design needs, you will have to answer a design questionnaire sent to you by email. 

In this questionnaire, I will ask you more details about what your requirements and your needs are for your new space so I can get a clear picture of how I can help you.  

The most important part here is your room measurements. This is an essential step of the interior decorating process as I will base my project on these measures. If you don’t know how to take accurate measures of your room, I suggest you to read my other blog post to guide you “3 tips to start redecorating your interior”. My 2D floorplan as well as furniture selection depend on these measures so it is important that you include every feature of your room on your sketch (doors, windows, built-in closets, heaters, ceiling fans or lights...). 

It is a good idea to include photos of your current room with blinds or curtains open and lights turned on. 

I will also ask you to send photos and measurements of any furniture or home décor items you wish to keep in your new space so I can include them in your final design. 

This questionnaire is really to help me understand your needs better, and visualize how to transform your interior into a new safe haven for you. For this reason, it is essential that you provide me with as much details and information as possible for a smooth process.  

  • Your budget 

During this step, I will also ask you for your budget for this project. As the services I provide are online interior decorating services, I am not responsible for any labour costs such as painting, plumbing or electrical work. For this reason, the budget I require from you will cover any new furniture and home décor items purchases. The furniture I will select for your new interior will be within this budget.  

Keep in mind that, even just for furniture, your budget should be realistic. For example, it will be complicated for me to entirely restyle your bedroom with a budget of $400. If I think your budget is unrealistic, I will discuss it with you. 

 

If you struggle at any stage of this questionnaire, I will be there to help you and guide you via email, or video call.  

Once you have completed your questionnaire, you can send it back to me and I will start working on your project. Let the fun begin!

Step 2: Let me do the work 

Once I receive your questionnaire, I will contact you if I have any more questions or if I need more details regarding your project. 

When everything is clear, I will start working on your project.  

  • Get a brand-new interior from the comfort of your own home 

The positive aspect of e-design is that we don’t need to meet in person. We can exchange via emails or video calls at any time during your home redecorating project. You can let me do the hard work while you relax at home. 

  • What you will receive 

If you have chosen one of our custom services, you will receive the following:

The process if you have purchased one of our full virtual interior decorating services is as follow: 

  1. First, I will send you 3 inspiration mood boards based on your questionnaire’s answers. Before I move on with your project, I will ask you to choose one of these three mood boards. The one that fits your interior design style best. 

  2. Then I will work on the rest of your project:  

    • New colour palette 

    • A selection of new furniture and home décor items within your budget and listed in a shopping list with clickable links to make it easier for you 

    • A 2D floorplan of your room with a layout of your selected new furniture and any existing furniture you wish to keep. 

    • If included in your package, 3D renders of your space to help you visualise what your new interior could look like. 

    • Design notes and recommendations to help you pull your interior together. 

  3. Once finished with your project, I will send it to you by email for review. You have 1 round of revision included in these packages and you will have 14 days to review my design. We can then discuss any possible changes to your design. 

For every service I provide, you can expect to receive your final project within 2 to 3 weeks.

Step 3: What now? 

Once you receive your final project by email, and after revision, you might wonder what happens now? Well, this last step of my online interior decorating process is all yours.  

  • Purchase furniture on your own time 

If a shopping list is included in the final project I sent you, you can then go ahead and make your purchases. The furniture and home décor items on this list have been carefully selected to best suit your interior needs, your requirements, and your interior design style.  

However, you don’t have to buy all the furniture at once. You should take your time with this. If you are on a rather tight budget, I suggest to spread your purchases, and especially for big items usually more expensive such as a bed or a couch. 

  • Not bound to buy the furniture I selected for you 

When working with Suite Minded, you are not bound to buy the furniture that I selected for you. You are free to browse for other furniture or décor items, other brands, or for cheaper ones.  

The selection I provide you with is only my recommendation of furniture that I think would look best in your interior.
